About Me

Hey there, I’m Heather - a creative, textile, and nature lover. I am creative by nature.  I sew, crochet, and am learning to knit, but writing has always been my go-to for a creative outlet.

 I have been in the textile space since 2016, sharing my love of vintage textiles online through my other business, Blackberry & Sage. There, I upcycle vintage quilts and other textiles into clothing, accessories, and home goods. Textiles have captured my heart because of the warmth, beauty, joy, and creative outlet they bring us.

When I was 44 I returned to school to become a nurse because I have always been a caregiver.  I have a big heart for people.  I found that my favorite subjects were English and Psychology.  I didn’t become a nurse, but I found new passions through my education.

Who knew that one day I’d combine my interests in creativity, textiles, caring for others, English, and Psychology into one amazing career that helps businesses like yours spread the love of textiles to others?
